Engine cuts and takes long to restart

\015 When driving the car, after a bit it cuts off. I then have to wait anywhere from 15 - 30 mins. to start it back up again.\015\012\015\012It doesn't seem to matter the weather as this has happened in both hot and cold conditions.\015\012\015\012At this present moment, the car will not start at all.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 02-08-2021

If it is a diesel it might be the same issue as I also had with mine. What VW does not do well is tell you in their TDI diesels you need to use a 505.01 approved oil otherwise your camshaft lobes will be rounded off to circles and not tear drop shape like they normally are. Most lube places don't have the correct oil that is approved by VW and it leaded to the premature engine wear. I have 88K on mine and they said the engine if blown and sounds like the turbo is going out also. You might get a diag. at a VW shop to see if that is it! Hope you find the problem!
