Answers :

NEVER HEARD OF THIS BUT IF YOU NEED TO KEEP PEWER TO THE EMC USE A SET OF JUMPER CABLES AND HOOK TO THE BATTERY TERMINALS . KEEP THE JUMPERS ON THE CABLES WHILE YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY. THIS SHOULD DO THE TRICK
Keeping the power is true it keep all the stored info in the computer from being erased like the code that runs the radio if it has a anti theft control built into it you can do the jumper cable thing but make sure the other car is running to supply enough power but i don't recommend it they sale a power back that plugs into the cig lighter socket some only run on a nine volt battery you can get from a auto parts store a tool truck or take it to a repair shop they will have every thing that is needed to fix it
