How do I get the headlight assembly out to change the bulb?

Pop the hood up

remove the plastic cover that spans over the radiator area -- there \015\012should be 6 plastic push-in clips holding it, I use a wire crimper tool \015\012to pull them up

it's a bit tough to see, a flash light will greatly \015\012help, but just next to the headlight you can use a larger screwdriver to\015\012 pry back the plastic clip that holds the clearance/turn signal lamp to \015\012the headlamp and it will just pop out from there. If I remember \015\012correctly, you'll have to pry towards the center of the car. It is \015\012fairly stiff so be firm, but not violent.

while I think the whole assembly can come out as one, it's significantly easier with removing the corner lamp first -- then just the two bolts on top that hold the headlamp bracketry in and it should slide out easily
