\015\012No there is no tube/dipstick under the hood as the tranmission is in the rear of the car. You need to lift it up level and then check the fluid.

\015\012I own a 01 vette as well. Change the fluid 50k the first time and check/replace every 30k after that. Just a standard filter fluid change is fine. No need to flush.
