How do i remove the alternator in a 2001 sebring convertible?

  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    \015\012\015\012Negative battery cable from the shock tower \015\012 \015\012Accessory belt splash shield and loosen the belt \015\012 \015\012Alternator electrical connectors \015\012 \015\012A/C pressure switch and clutch electrical connectors \015\012 \015\012Engine oil dipstick \015\012 \015\012Alternator \015\012

  1. Install or connect the following:

    \015\012\015\012Alternator and torque the bolts to 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm) \015\012 \015\012Engine oil dipstick tube \015\012 \015\012A/C pressure switch and clutch electrical connectors \015\012 \015\012Alternator electrical connectors \015\012 \015\012Drive belt and splash shield \015\012 \015\012Negative battery cable \015\012

  5. Remove the accessory drive belt splash shield.

  7. Loosen the accessory drive belt.

  9. Remove the lower mounting bolt.

  11. Lower the vehicle.

  13. Remove the electrical connections from the alternator.

  15. Disconnect the electrical connector to the A/C pressure switch and A/C clutch.

  17. Remove the engine oil dip stick.

  19. Remove the 2 upper mounting bolts.

  21. Remove the alternator.

  1. Install the alternator.

  3. Install the 2 upper bolts, but do not tighten.

  5. Install the engine dip stick tube.
  6. \015\012 \015\012
  7. Connect the A/C pressure switch and A/C clutch electrical connectors.

  9. Connect the electrical connections to the alternator.
  10. \015\012 \015\012
  11. Raise vehicle and support.
  12. \015\012 \015\012
  13. Install the lower bolt. Tighten bolt to 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm).

  15. Install the accessory drive belt.

  17. Install the accessory drive belt splash shield.

  19. Lower the vehicle.

  23. Connect the negative battery cable.

Sebrings only have one engine I think . But I think its a pain in the arse,just doing the belts ****, I belive you need to get it out from the bottom.
