Rear end clunk on 2001 voyager minivan

\015 We purchased the 2001 voyager minivan last week with 69,000 miles on it. This afternoon when we would drive over 60 miles per hour we would occasionally hear a fairly loud clunk or thud from the passenger side rear wheel wheel cover area. Under 60 no problem, any suggestions would be appreciated.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-10-2021

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Other than the Gas-pressurized shock absorber and the monoleaf rear spring as posted by xx and xx, may I also suggest to check:
  • the rigid beam axle (least likely);
  • \015\012
  • the hard rubber stops, insulators, bushings (likely); and/or
  • \015\012
  • the concealed acoustic material over rear wheel house (most likely).
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
Have a look and see if you have a broken spring or shock absorber on that side.
