Answers :

.the knocking comes from the piston and rods sounds like the bottom end of your motor is shot you might have a spun bearing
This dont sound good.... can you tell does it sound like its coming from the bottom of the engine? does it get louder with aceleration or is it the same as when its ideling? is it a knock or does it sound like marbles ? does it sound the same in gear as it does when its in park? send answers to [email protected] i will try and help you figure it out.. a tip take a screw driver and put the handle to your ear and the other end can be placed on several points on the engine you can also put a tube on the pointed end of the screwdriver to gain extra length and with the park brake set and the car in park place the other end of tube or the screwdriver itself at several points of the engine dont forget to watch for moving parts ( use caution )when doing this.but crawl under the car and listen to it around the oil pan if it is coming from the bottom of the engine it may be the crank shaft or main bearings again i cant stress enough (use caution )when checking around moving parts [email protected] 208-227-4215
