Having problems with your 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan ?
2001 Caravan hit by lightning, blew out right rear tire, started one time, ran for about 30 secnds, I shut it off and it won't start again. All lights, radio, horn signals work but will not turn over. Any ideas?
It could be that the battery was shorted out when it was struck. The battery might have a little juice left to start the lights and all of that, but doesn't have enough power to start the car. Try jumping it or testing the battery.
Humm, to be honest this sounds alot like the pcm failed, but it is possible theirs several things wrong, lightning normaly will not hit a car because the tiers ground the vehicle making them far safer then house during a serious storm. from this description you have id say inspect the cars computer with a fult code reader and see what it tells you, or take it to a mechanic and have them run the diagnostics on it. but it sounds like the pcm might have been hit. a good odb code reader will tell you the problem.if the starter is not cracking at all then i would suspect the problem to be a ignition switch, but if it's making a clicking noise or any sound like a starter then we can guess a few otehr things it may or may not be, did you heare anything at all when you turn the key?
