Having problems with your 2001 Dodge Neon ?

After cleaning my 2001 Plymouth Neon engine with engine cleaner and pressure washing it the check engine light is on and the car stutters when trying to accelerate. What is going on with it?

Answers :

Never pressure wash an engine.
Electrical connections can't take the water or pressure.

In most cases, once warmed up and dried out, things return to normal.
But you need to determine which connections you screwed up.
The most common are the plug wires. You can check them with a spare spark plug, or an inductive timing light.
You could also have just blasted a vacuum hose off.
Check them all.
But you could also have caused a bad connection to the O2, throttle position, air mass, or temperature sensor.

It is a chrysler get rid of it and get something thaat runs. their cars and trucks aint worth having after 60,000 miles
