Having problems with your 2001 GMC Sierra Crew Cab ?

Noisy fuel pump

\015 I recently replaced my fuel pump on my 2001 GMC Seirra 5.3 with a GMC replacement pump. Lately the pump seems to be "whining" rather loudly. My check engine light has been coming on and then going back off semi regular. The truck runs and idles fine until it's been driven for an extended period of time (an hour or more). After it's been driven and hot the pump seems to want to quit. The truck will stall and is very hard to get started again. It starts easily and runs good if the truck is cold, but once it's been driven for more than an hour or so it seems to act up again. Fuel filter was changed at the same time as pump, both have no more than 1000 miles on them. Any ideas???\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-05-2019

Answers :

Sounds like they need replace the pump again becuse if was good pump it would not do this.
This way amercain cars are not selling good all the jeeps have this dam problem to.
They put bad pump tell them do the job correct dig the paper work out man. Look up for better after market pump and make them do the labor becuse this one is trashed allready. Also leting your tank go below half tank shorts out all pumps faster and after market cleaners mess up the pumps and the gas liner inside i read isent that great
