Having problems with your 2001 GMC Yukon ?

I've received 3 different opinions as to which shocks should be used on my 2wd 2001 GMC Yukon. One repair shop said that based on my VIN # my replacements shocks and labor will be about $1,200. Does this vehicle use special shocks?
