Having problems with your 2001 Honda Accord ?

Sudden loss of power on acord vtec Y reg

\015 Driving approx 70 mph, car started splutering/juddering, malfunction light came on, revs picked upto approx 5,000, yet car had no power.\015\012\015\012pulled over, 2 hours later with the hazards on the battery was going flat and the horn started sounding, AA finally arrived, boost charged- malfunction light no longer illuminated, had a look at everything else and couldnt find prob, then followed me for the rest of my 40mile journey with no further problems and no restrictions on speed. \015\012\015\0122 days later return journey of 200 miles with no problems\015\012\015\012Any ideas???\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 22-04-2019

The engine light was on, but is now off? I would check for stored engine codes to hopefully get some idea as to what the heck was going on, as your confidence in taking a 200 mile trip is probably a bit shaky.
