Having problems with your 2001 Nissan Pathfinder ?
98 Pathfinder All Electrical in Vehicle Gone.
\015 Good Day,\015\012\015\0125 speed, 3.3L, SE\015\012\015\012Checked all fuses. They look ok, though haven't yet done a continuity check on them.\015\012\015\012Tried jumping from running vehicles.\015\012\015\012Power from positive battery terminal to frame via ohm meter.\015\012\015\012No power to dash, interior, engine, solenoid, nor starter.\015\012\015\012Had issue earlier in the day when vehicle dash lights dimly lit and starter clicked. Just pulled ebrake, moved gear shift and re-clutched. Vehicle started that time.\015\012\015\012Later in the day, after two hours away, returned and opened using key fob.\015\012\015\012Opened door and no lights, no power, no starter, nothing.\015\012\015\012Battery only reads about 12.85 volts by itself (Though with running vehicle to jump it something would have turned up.)\015\012\015\012The two cables coming from the red plug coming off the main positive wire right beside the battery terminal are corroded. (Two wires with white/red stripe.) I'll replace those but not sure if thats the issue.\015\012\015\012Can a buggered alternator or starter cause the whole electrical system to not function - not even a dim dash light is visible.\015\012\015\012Thanks Kindly for any assistance.\015
I would go with the corroded cables. You would have power to everything even with the alternator out of the truck.
