Airconditioning of Nissan Sentra 01

\015 I had a similar observation with the prior posting. After I bought the 01 Sentra, I immediately noticed the airconditioning doesn't really work that high, especially the one in the middle facing the driver's side. I was told by the dealership that it was just the way the car was built.\015\012\015\012Anyway, almost nine years from purchase, my Nissan 01 just suddenly stop getting cold even when you turn it up high. I brought it to the shop and they filled it up with freon. However, I noticed it didn't really get that cold. I didn't bring the car back to the shop as I was so busy and needs to use the car everyday. Plus, it wasn't really hot in March and April here in Georgia, so I wasn't really using the airconditioner. Anyway, after almost 3 months, there was no cool air at all. My husband brought it back to the same shop and now they are asking for about $915.00 to fix the high and low compressor hose, do an air induction cleaning, and drier. We haven't had it fixed as I still can't believe the work is that much. I am still looking for a reputable shop that can repair it well. Any suggestion out there? Is the repair of these hoses really expensive? Since the car is almost 9 years old, is it better to repair it or just sell it and buy a new one? I'm just wondering though how I can sell it for a good price without the aircon.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 12-11-2018

WELL IMPORT CARS PARTS ARE ALWAYS EXPENSIVE, LOT OF THE MONEY GOES TOWARDS LABOR AND SOME MECHANICS WILL RIP YOU OFF(NOT ALL OF THEM) SHOP AROUND FOR ANOTHER MECHANIC BEFORE YOU SELL YOUR CAR. TRY SEVERAL. GOOD LUCK!
