The front and rear discs are made different. If you are working on the rear disc there should be an emergency brake system behind the rotor. You will see a rubber cover on the back of the axle plate. The rear rotor contains a drum brake too! The rear shoes have to be loosened to remove the rotor.
\015\012If the front brake rotor is where you are, then you need penetrating oil, something to chisel the rust away behind the rotors backside and a piece of hard wood to hit with a hammer against the rotor. You oil around the bolts and in the center lip of the rotor. Some rotors contain the bearing race and are one piece with the hub, but you have a newer car. Personally I use a 3lb. deadblow hammer but I don't have an air hammer. If you don't have penetrating oil, I once used Cutter insect repellant and it worked.
