Having problems with your 2001 Pontiac Bonneville ?

Had oil changed 3 days ago...oil pressure had been fine until today. I drove about 3 miles and pressure became erratic and pegged high and then pegged low. It did this several times and then went to zero and stayed there. I checked the oil level and it is fine and there is no sign of oil in the coolant and the engine is running fine. Any idea what the problem is?? Is it just a pressure sending device or could it be the oil pump itself?? Thanks!!

Answers :

Your,e oil pressure switch is located close to your,e oil filter,it problemy disconnected the wires going to the switch.reconnect them.
Probably just the oil pressure sender, at least that is the first thing I would replace.
