Take this serious until you know what it is for sure. first thing is you have the oil press checked with a manual gauge and verify if it is low or not. if it is low and there is no motor noise then you can see about replacing the oil pump. it can also be a dirty slugged engine stopping oil flow. and taking the valve cover and pan off you can see what the conditon of the motor is. or it can be a faulty gauge. I the oil level has already been checked. and the light probaly comes on at idle? a bad oil pump or clogged motor can ruin the engine if nothing is done. have the oil press checked with a manual gauge.
