Having problems with your 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE ?

Grand Am clicking noise

\015 I have a 2005 Grand Am GT.I noticed a loud clicking noise coming from the front brakes. When I brake lightly the noise is loud and very annoying, but less noticable when heavy braking. Also there is a rubbing sound coming from the front as well, which is more noticable when making a right turn.I brought the car to get checked but everything was fine. They did hear the loud clicking noise.I was told I would have to live with it because Pontiac used aluminum and steel brake parts. The callipers are the aparent problem and can't be changed because of the spacing. The car also has 16"high performance tires.Do you know of any solutions,I can't believe Pontiac would put out a car like this, with a noise like that and be unfixable. Thanks in advance for any help.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-10-2020

Have u found the answer out because mine is doing the same thing?
I really doubt this can't be fixed, the car is 8 years old and most likely it may have some worn components in the front end like the Constant Velocity joints, also have the btrake pad anti rattle springs replaced or checked for condition, the brakes can make this noise if the springs loose there tension.
