Having problems with your 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE ?

2003 Pontiac 3.6 litre revs on startup (sometimes) in mild weather. When I shut it off and re-start, the problem is solved. Could this be a faulty coolant temperature sensor?

Answers :

If the coolant temperature sensor was faulty, the car would show an erroneous temperature on the gauge or run poorly under more circumstances. I don't think the cts is bad.
