Having problems with your 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE ?

Clicking noise no i dont use the airconditioning. and the battery it fine. i think it might be the oil and im taking it for a change soon, but the oil looks good. My sister and my brother in law says its normal when the car is cooling down but it clicks louder than most cars. So i dont know if that is normal. i hear theres lots of problems with these vehicles.

Answers :

If it ticks louder than most cars, maybe it is running a little hotter than most cars?
\015\012I wouldn't worry about it.
\015\012I suggested oil level as low oil level (to almost none) would make the valve tappets noisy.
\015\012But your "problem" as you said is when the engine is off, if this is the case then I wouldn't worry about it.
\015\012Take your family's advice.
\015\012The heat of the exhaust system contracting (cooling) is what you are hearing.
