Having problems with your 2001 Porsche Boxster ?

Starter sounds like I am trying to start it with the motor on really noisy and must be hurting the teeth on the gear What can I say I'm a female The car is a Boxter 2001

Your starter has obviously failed. The only fix is a replacement.
\015\012The solenoid on the starter sounds as if it is not engaging the starter teeth fully into the flywheel... or the teeth are damaged.
\015\012In any case, a new starter is requierd soon to prevent damage to the flyweel and additional costs!
