Golf MK4 Handbrake blocking

\015 Hello\015\012I have a mk4 golf (year 2001) and I have problems with the handbrake\015\012When I pull up the handbrake it stops the wheels from moving but when i let the handbrake down it still holds the wheels, I mean that it blocks the wheels.\015\012I would be grateful for some help \015\012Thank You\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-10-2018

Seems like your rear brakes are staying stuck in locked position when you release the E-brake. Try to adjust the e-brake from under the car first. If that does not work then remove the rear drum, and there is a adjustment bolts. Turn it a few turns put back on the drum and try again.
