Having problems with your 2001 Volvo S80 ?

The car was recently engine overhauled,now the water is bubbling {boiling} though the temperature gauge is not exceeding above half.what could be the probable cause for this?its a volvo s80 model 2000.its just plain water we did not add the anti-freeze.

When you add coolant and it bubbles right from the start of the engine, This is a indicator that the head gasket is blown, in your case not seated properly.
