Having problems with your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe ?

The ABS light came on and when I turned the truck off a box underneath stayed on. This sounded like a motor running an dwouldn't stop until the battery was unhooked. When you hook the battery back up it starts again. What on earth could this be?

Yergentiger93, i just had this problem like 2 weeks ago where i turned off my vehicle and this annoying sound kept going and going and going. Don't disconnet your battery, in the fuse box there is a fuse for your ABS. If i am not mistaken it is the first or second on the very top row. Remove it and BAM, that noise is gone for good. Of course though, you still need to buy the EBCB or ABS motor. DO NOT!!! buy it new or will cost you a fortune. You can buy it at a local salvage place used. I got one for 170.00 bucks and will replace the old one next week-end. I will keep you posted on how it worked out. I looked under the vehicle and looks super easy to replace, has connectors and a couple of metal hoses where you can use some crescents to loosen them up. Thought i'd save you some money and a head ache.
It is the ebcm. it controls the abs on your vehicle. When is starts that there is no fix but replacing the ebcm. This costs probably around 5 or 600 dollars. There are some tests that can be ran on the wires but all the ones that i had come in at the dealership tested for a bad ebcm.
