Having problems with your 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer ?

RPM's jump around while I am riding. Usually when the RPM's are holding just under 2,000 while driving down the interstate, they will start to jump over 2,000 and then fall back to about 1,800. I'm thinking it may be the transmission, but I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this before diving in.

Answers :

It could be the torque lock in the torque converter cycling in and out.this would cause the increase and decrease in RPM's. Could be as simple as a loose or corroded wire.
