Having problems with your 2002 Dodge Durango ?

When I put my 4wd hi on, I got to about 35 mph and a horrible sound started coming from my engine. It was moaning and i think i heard a ticking sound. It also felt as if i had a flat tire, it was hopping around. This is the first year it's done this and I'm not sure what could be wrong. Everything functions fine in 2wd. Please help :)

Answers :

If you hear nothing in 2 wheel drive, and this only happens in 4 wheel drive,it will be one of the front axles binding up,it should turn free like if make a fist and rotate your hand in a circle, but from wear or prolonged time of not being used,it will not rotate freely and binds in one spot, causing a loud noise and wheel wobble.
