COULD THE RADIATOR CONTINUE TO MAKE A CAR OVER HEAT AFTER THEROMSTAT HAS BEEN REPLACED?

Answers :

Yes,, If it is plugged it will make the heat rise quickly ,, there has to be "flow" just as a precaution,, and it does happen,, thermostats can be placed upside down on some models, or the wrong temp setting on the unit itself is incorrect , also,, check (if you have elec fans,) make sure they are kicking in, Let the car idle for 10 minutes or so,, with the AC off, the fans should engage once the temp goes up to cool the water in the radiator itself, Once the motor water hits the temp on the thermostat it opens allowing the motor water to be replaced with what was in the radiator,
