First thing is to check the gauge to make sure that the engine is coming up to operating temperature. If it is not you might need a thermostat, but first check to make sure that the coolant level is full this will make the cabin heating system perform poorly, if those both check out then you either don't have water circulating (water pump) or the heater core is bad and will need to be replaced. If the heater core and water pump are both good then the problem lies within the heating controls or ducting. The dash control may be faulty and not closing the blend door to shut out the cold air or the blend door may be blocked by something foreign in the system or the blend door itself may be faulty.
Assuming it was working ok, maybe the heater matrix has worn out inside the car, mounted central ly under the dash, or maybe you have just an air lock in the system, or maybe the cable that switches hot to cold is not fully opening the valve, i hope this helps you mate
