Having problems with your 2002 Ford Explorer ?

Will bad PVC valve cause occasional blue smoking from exhaust?

\015 Remanufactured engine with less than 1000 miles on it. Will blow lots of blue smoke out of tailpipe for a few miles, then quit and not do it again for days, or might do it again in next few minutes. Engine seems strong and don't think it is bad. Someone said a bad PCV could cause this. Also, seems to do more often when using AC on hot days, but also does without AC, but not as often.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-11-2019

Answers :

It can ,the pcv is not expensive to replace ,but if doing it on a reman i would pull the plugs and check them for fouling if all have fouling or oil residue than could by sucking in some oil from pcv but if one or two or even one side could possible be a bad rebuild --gasket leak ,head problem ,or bad components
