Having problems with your 2002 Ford F250 Super Duty SuperCab ?

Engine dying My 2002 Ford F250 with a 7.3 liter diesel engine will die, without sputtering as I,m driving. Sometimes it will start again as I'm coasting but I usually have to pull over and it will restart in a minute or two. Another thing it's been doing as I'm driving is the guages and the radio will cut off and then in a few minutes resume normal operation. The Ford tech said this was the computer resetting itself. Could these two problems be related.

Answers :

It sounds like the cam sensor (also called "crank sensor") needs to be replaced. Mine has gone out twice &i t's common. In fact, Ford has a recall on this item. To do it yourself, it costs about $30 at a parts store & takes about 15 minutes to replace. Very easy!
