Answers :

If you are replacing old belt with new, compare to make sure they are the same size. if they are then check diagram under hood to make sure of belt routing
If you are putting on a new belt would doubble check the size aginst your old one.If you are putting the old one back on the only reason it wouldn't fit would be that your tensioner is going bad.If the spring inside has worn a new grove due to extende use on a stretched belt you may want to replace it.I would say just use a breaker bar or a cheater pipe to try and get tinsioner to its full extended position.
