Having problems with your 2002 GMC Yukon XL ?

When i shut mine off sounds like some thing dripping on exhaust

It is possible that the sound you are hearing is the exhaust metal contract as it cools down thus causing a ticking sound. after being heated up from the engine running and causing the thin metal of the exhaust components to heat up and expand slightly, taking the engine heat away allows the parts to cool and contract back to their normal size. the ticking is what happens when metal rapidly cools down.
