Having problems with your 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee ?

Our brake lights were out and then we looked at the brake light switch. we tried to adjust it and now the brake lights will not go off. does this mean that it is faulty?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. The small button on the tip of the switch is what activates the lights and what turns them off. If the lights are stuck on, the switch is working. Try to mess with the small button to see if you can get them to work properly. If not, change the switch.
