They are usually threaded into the cylinder head/heads of most gasoline engines.
\012If you have a V/6 engine they are difficult to see and to replace, you have to remove the plastic plenumn that covers the top of the engine should be held on by 2 or 4 fasteners and also remove the oil filler cap to get it off, once off you will locate them....changing them without damaging the replacements is quite another story, if you never did this now may not be a good time to start...at least not by yourself, try to have someone with you to personally assist, you need to keep the plug wires in the order they come off and be careful when putting in the new plugs not to crack the white porcelain insulation as it will cause a serious miss when all done use a quality spark plug socket,extension bar and rartchet, gap the new plugs between .045-.060". A V/6 will have 6 plugs a 4 cylinder will have 4 plugs and a V/8 will have 8 plugs.
