Alarm going off - 2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II
Another option so you don;t have to remove the horn fuse all the time is to disconnect the motion sensors at the point where they join at the sensors. The sensors are only a backup your alarm will still be active and as the horn is the siren if this is disconnected say when your shopping then your alarm is virtually useless as only the hazards will go off.All the best Nev retired alarm tech
Thanks, I took the Alarm fuse out of the the main box. I do not have the problem now and I think the problem was the movement sensor. My Disco is a 1997 and the sensor attached to the lining in side the car was coming away from the soundproofing due the age. I had not noticed this, so the slightest movement set the alarm off. I have glued the velcro back and after two attempts I no longer have the problem. I don't know if this is your problem as you have a newer Disco.
