2002 LandRover Freelander HSE- Turns but doesn't start/fire up

\015 For the past 2 weeks, my 2002 Landrover Freelander HSE has been having probelms starting. It's turns, but does not fire up. Miles on the car are very low - 55K, I can't be running into major problems, can I? A friend of mine (Mechanic) seemed to think that the sensors were bad, so he cleaned them up for me yesterday. No problems until this afternoon. Drove it around and went to the grocery store, turned the key, did not start. I even did the trick my freind told me to do - stepped on the gas and turned the key, did not start. Let it sit for 2 minutes, it started. What is wrong?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018

It does sound like electrical problems. When it does this you need to know is it not getting fire, fuel or both. The alarm could be a problem, engine control, or a simple ground strap loose. Make sure you battery terminals are clean and connections are tight. The last time i saw this happen it turned out to be a wiring issue because someone had tapped into the factory alarm harness and the wiring was done very poorly which was causing the problem.
