Hi, the likely problem is a shorted blower relay. Unfortunately, your relay is integrated into the motor/resistor assembly, so you would need to replace the whole thing to fix it. You can disable the blower high setting by pulling out the IGN3 fuse under the hood, but I'm not sure the car will run without that fuse. At least you wouldn't have to disconnect the battery to keep it from draining. Please let me know if you would like procedures to replace the blower motor assembly, and thanks for using FixYa.

IT IS THE HVAC BLOWER RESISTOR CARD, WHEN THEY SHORT OUT (WHICH IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM) THEY ALLOW GROUND TO GO BACK TO THE BLOWER MOTOR, THUS LETTING IT RUN CONSTANT. IT IS LOCATED UNDER THE DASH ON THE PASSANGER SIDE WITH FOUR WIRES GOING TO IT (YELLOW,PURPLE,ETC.) YOU REMOVE 2 SCREWS WITH 5/16THS HEX NUT HEADS ON THEM AND IT PULLS DOWN AND THEN YOU UNHOOK THE CONNECTOR, AND ITS OUT. REVERSE OPERATION TO INSTALL NEW ONE.
