Having problems with your 2002 Toyota Camry ?

Flashing A/C light

\015 I love it when I pay for a manual and it refers me to a service center, lol.\015\012\015\012The system is very smart, it can detect alot of failures. A failed relay is one of them. In my case it started last year and when I would turn it off and then turn it on again, it would work well. Not this year. I engaged the clutch directly and watched for bubbles in the sight glass, it was ok, the clutch stayed engaged the whole time as well. The buzz on the street is the relay is usually the problem. I like to verify. I then jumpered the relay and the light came on steady, the compressor ran, and the car got cool. If you understand relays and how to jumper them it's a simple troubleshooting procedure, If you don't know how a relay works I don't recomend u jumper anything, you could jumper the coil side and ruin something. for 35 bucks you might want to just try replacing the relay, I'm buying the relay tomorrow. The relay is labled MG/CLT, which I assume to mean Magnetic Clutch, why they didn't lable it A/C i don't know. It's the smallest of the relays and the cover has the layout of the relays on the underside. the relays are on the left side of the car, under a long cover.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 27-05-2019

Answers :

Mg/clt = magnetic clutch. there are more than one fuse/relay for the AC that's why it's named specifically for the technicians to pin point.
