I'm not sure about that. I'm assuming that you've checked the fuse. There may be a circuit breaker for the top operation as well, and that may have blown (those are under the hood usually, or under the dash on the driver's side). Have you tried cycling the ignition a few times, or maybe a 30 minute disconnect on the battery? That usually puts the car's computers into relearn mode. I'm just throwing out ideas here since I've never dealt with this before, but they're worth trying.
The solutions proposed worked for me. Learning: Always open the hood with the engine running, never stop the engine while the hood is opening/closing. The hood is heavy but can be manoeuvred up and down manually with care, ditto the rear hood cover panel, the red/black T-tool is essential for locking/unlocking back (access hole by removing armrest btw rear seats) and front (access in the front secton of the hood) . Its located with the fusebox, open drivers door and in the side of the binnacle. Finally I disconnected th battery for 30 mins to reset computers, and it worked fine.\015\012Thanks again for the good advice!! :-)
