Having problems with your 2003 Buick LeSabre ?

I have a 2003 buick lesabre. there appears to be a short in the fan- sometimes it goes on sometimes not. if i go over a bump, it turns on!

I assume you mean the fan for the interior.

\015\012The fan is located on the front passenger side (inside the car) compartment, and is mounted with 3 screws. You will need to lay on your back on the passenger side seat, then look towad the sky to see the fan screws (I can't remember if there are covers you have to remove to see the fan or not).

\015\012You will either need to get a replacment fan (try rockauto.com) or I fixed my by removing the fan, then pushing the "brushes" (attached by wires) that go against the armature of the fan motor.

\015\012I have 178,000 miles on my LeSabre, and this was the problem with mine. I already have a new fan, but I have not replaced it yet. I did what I stated above, pushing the brushes toward the motor. There appear to be slots that the wires that attach to the brushes should slide through, but they end up holding the brushes away from the armature of the fan.
