Water coolant leak in back of motor from where?

Answers :

If you have a leak at the drivers side end of the engine it can drip down the rear, or firewall side of the motor, and make it appear as if the leak is there. I see a lot of lower intake gaskets that leak coolant in this very manner...the coolant puddles a bit on top of the rear of the block then drips down along the backside side of the engine where it then drips off of the bottom of the bellhousing. It's difficult to see where these gaskets leak but you may be able to follow the trail of coolant back to the source. There are a lot of other places that a leak could be coming from but most of the ones I see are caused by the lower intake gaskets. Hope this helps and good luck!
That would be from a engine block core plug or a leakiong intake gasket
