Header install varies with brand and vehicle options. Best to get directions from the manufacturer. Some are easy, some need the motor lifted and accessory removal. On v8 Chevy engines there are two ways of adjusting lifters The "hot rod" method is to first adjust the push rods so you can turn them with your fingers before starting the engine. Move any that are on a lobe or ramp to the closed position when you do that.. Then with the engine running, loosen each 'till it gets noisy, then slowly turn it down till the noise stops. Non performance method is exactly the same but instead of stopping there, turn the adjustment 1/2 turn more after noise stops. Flat tappet or roller cams require using a feeler gauge and specifications of cam manufacturer. Rockers that are shaft or bridge mounted are not adjustable.
