Having problems with your 2003 Chevrolet Malibu ?

Loud noise passenger side front

\015 I started to hear a low almost humming noise coming from the front passenger side of my car it (it almost sounded like it was coming from the tires) it starts in at about 30 kms and gets louder the faster I go. I have checked the tire and its good. There are no other problems, the RPMS stay like normal. What could this be?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018

Sounds like possibly a wheel bearing!
Sounds like a wheel bearing is on the way out. Jack up the front of the car and place on stands for safety. Now put a hand top and bottom of the tyre and try to rock the tyre in and out. If the tyre can move I suggest that you have have someone look at the adjustment of the wheel bearings. This is only if you are not mechanically mind.

The other test you can do is to turn hard right or left at low speed. If you hear a constant clunging noise that will mean you have a CV joint problem. These are expensive to repair.

Hope this has helped
