Having problems with your 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 ?

Cool but not cold air from my ac system

\015 I have a 2003 Chevy Suburban Z71 with 5.3Lit. injected flex fuel V8. It has front and rear ac. Over the past few months the ac puts out cool but not cold air. There are no obstructions in front of the condenser and the engine temp is normal. The compressor cycles on for 5 or 6 seconds and off for about 10 seconds. What are the likely causes of the lack of cold air output from my ac?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 14-10-2019

Answers :

It sounds simple enough that you need to recharge your A/C unit. They can stop functioning properly after winter's end especially if they were not used. You should be able to get a recharge kit from your local auto parts store. Your Suburban should use the newer R142a refrigerant.
