Your Passlock may need to relearn the ignition keys, if the\015\012ignition lock has gone bad like my in-laws Grand Am Gt, here is what i\015\012did so they will not get stranded any more. Buy a Passlock by pass\015\012module for around $70.00. You can orderone from GMPASSLOCK.COM in the\015\012mean time try resetting the Passlock. Good luck

Ignition keys relearn takes about 30 min to do. 30-Minute Learn\015\012Procedure 1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2. Attempt to\015\012start the engine, then release the key to ON; the vehicle will not\015\012start. 3. Observe the SECURITY tell tale light. After approximately 10\015\012minutes, the light will turn OFF. 4. Turn OFF the ignition switch, and\015\012wait 5 seconds. 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 - two more times - for a\015\012total of 3 cycles of 10 minutes. 3x10 = 30 minutes. The vehicle is now\015\012ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or\015\012passwords on the next ignition switch turn from OFF to CRANK Important:\015\012Turn the Ignition Switch OFF. The vehicle learns the Passlock\015\012Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition\015\012from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to\015\012start the vehicle. 6. Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the\015\012Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password. 7. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed. History DTCs\015\012will self clear after 100 ignition cycles. Without a scan tool you may\015\012have momentary starter interruptions while history clears itself.
