Having problems with your 2003 Dodge Caravan ?

The steering makes a loud humming noise when I turn the wheel one way or another. Would i need a new power steering pump or just a flush?

There may be air in the system - if you fill the power steering fluid reservoir with fresh fluid and then with the engine off and the front of the car jacked up so the wheels are off the ground turn the steering wheel from lock to lock slowly and completely about ten times, the slower the better - you can do it with the tures on the ground but it is bad for the tyres and hard work - this circulates the fluid and allows air to escape - if it dosent solve the problem the likelihood is that the power steering pump has worn bearings - it may be repairable, but its probably best just to replace the pump.
I'd bet it's the reservoir filter. Many people having the same problem with these years of caravan.
