Having problems with your 2003 Ford Escape ?

Ford escape transmission

\015 2003 Ford Escape (Automatic Transmission)\015\012Last night after driving on the highway for about 20 miles and getting to my destination, the transmission started "sputtering" and the O/D light was blinking. It quickly became undrivable.\015\012\015\012I did a quick Google search on it from my phone and I found this article on this site (http://www.justanswer.com/ford/44jua-02-ford-escape-transmission-slipping-when-will-go.html) --Broken 2/4 band--\015\012\015\012It seemed to describe my problem to a T. The advice even got me home...it said to drive in D2 and while it was still slipping it worked enough to get me the 20 miles to my home.\015\012\015\012That was last night. This morning, I started up my car to test fluid levels and for a test drive. The shifter moves to every gear (I noticed that was a follow up question on quite a few threads). Park works. Reverse works. NO other gears work. I can drive my car in Reverse, that's about it.\015\012\015\012Does it still sound like a 2/4 band? I know hardly anything about cars but I'm no dummy though. So what do you think?\015\012\015\012Thank you in advance for your help.\015\012\015\012Fluid level looked high btw.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 17-06-2019
