Having problems with your 2003 GMC Yukon XL ?

Not sure if i have a problem but the low coolant light came on, added coolant, went up to engine temp., bottom hose coming off of water pump is cold, is this normal?

It will be cold untill the thermostat gets to 195 degrees and that lets the coolant circulate thru out the engine and radiator
Well bottom hose comes from radiator after it has been cooled.Top radiator hose is the on that will be the same as engine temp.If the top is cold when the engine shows it is up to temp. You would be overheating because your thermostate is not opening.
