I don't believe a faulty Fuel Tank Pressure sensor (FTP) would affect \015\012the running of your truck, but if the fuel tank is not venting properly,\015\012 it may cause the engine to bog down because of low fuel pressure. Too \015\012low a pressure in the tank could cause the FTP to set a trouble code.

Try loosening the fuel cap when this is happening and see of there's a \015\012sound of air rushing into the tank. Maybe try running the truck with \015\012the cap loose to see if the problem clears up. If so, I'd be suspect of\015\012 the fuel cap. If you haven't done so recently, maybe replace the fuel \015\012filter and check for water or a lot of dirt in it for you own benefit.

Other pissibilitie, check the PCM codes for any fault code stored there and the fluid transs levels (rare but possible).
