Having problems with your 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee ?

Radiator cooling fan

\015 Today while waiting at a red light, temp gage rose quickly to red zone. Parked to let cool down for 1/2 hour. Fan never kicked on. What should I check and in what order. It's a 2003 Grand Cherokee, 87,000 miles. Not comfortable bringing it to a fix it shop yet, been mechanic "raped" before. Would like some suggestions please. Thanks!\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 24-06-2019

Hi,you should start by checking in this order, fuses ,fan relay ,temperature switch at the cilinder head, before you start checking be sure the antefrezze level is ok at the radiator and at the reservoir, last one fan motor, there should be the solution to your problem Goood luuuck........
The fan is probably bad or the relay has seen better days and is ready to retire on you either way definatly if you cant find the culpret have it checked out because if you blow the head gasket from overheating you just think you got raped before get ready to be melasted
